YAY!!! I finally got to go to Western Australia!! (I broke my leg last year, stopping me from going). IT WAS BEAUTIFUL
My family and I went to Karijini Nation Park and if you've seen the Western Australian promo ads where people are jumping into water pools inside huge gorges you'll know how beautiful it is, it looks EXACTLY like the pictures. In some gorges you're able to swim through to other gorges. I went to a gorge that had a tiny pool "Jacuzzi" with a mini waterfall looping round the back of it and falling into the pool. There were also multiple pools and streams leading to the "Jacuzzi" pool, you have to do a bit of climbing and technically you aren't allowed to go there, but it was to pretty to resist.
We also went snorkelling and saw 9 turtles, one coral cod, one clam and many other sea creatures. I went on a machine called 'Sea Do' which is like an underwater jet pack for snorkelling which means i didn't have to kick or paddle! But I did have very sore fingers and hands from holding down the buttons on the 'Sea Do.'
At two campsites there was a pillow like trampoline, the second campsite's jumping pillow was the best out of the two. When the pillow's air engine turned off all of the kids would line up around the outside and one kid would lie in the middle and everyone would jump on at once, I did it and it was so much fun, you go flying. However on one night all the "Fat Asses" (Gang of older teenagers) went on one side, making the pressure unbalanced, so one kid went on and went
In the last holidays I went to Fiji, Kuata Island. On the first night of going there we stayed on the main island and I went swimming in the pool and explored the hotel, the next day we went on the Yasawa Flyer II to get to Kuata Island, the boat was quite a lot of fun because you could stand out the front and pretend you were Rose DeWitt Bukater from the Titanic, standing on the edge of the boat with your arms spread. When we got to the island we got to swim round the island and swim through a school of sardines, see turtles, watch the sunset and swim with tropical fish. I went scuba diving for the first time, and I felt like a mermaid. The best thing about scuba diving was that I got to stay down and explore the reef longer than I normally can. I also went scuba diving and saw two reef sharks and lots of curious little fish, that kept coming up to the camera, attention seekers! I met some really nice girls who liked acting, Harry Potter and playing Minecraft! I got a beautiful little muffin top from too many oreo shakes. On the last night at mainland we stayed at a hotel who's animals in residence were lots of little frogs. The next day at the hotel, we went around the hotel and the neighbouring hotel, swimming in pools and splashing about on the water features. But eventually it was time to return to Sydney, much to our dismay. I had loads of fun and had such fun adventures, it was a great trip overall and I'd love to go again.
So in the Spring holidays I was going to go to Western Australia to hike, snorkel, go whale watching, walk to water holes, but I broke my leg and my mum didn't buy travel insurance, so we had to cancel our trip, so now we are thinking of going to maybe Fiji or the Gold Coast, we also have to bring my cousin along with us, so we are not quite sure of where we are going, but wherever we are going I will be sure to keep you updated.
